Govt to offer health insurance worth 5,000,000 to section of Mumbaikars: MP Gopal Shetty
During the coronavirus pandemic, people believe that Mumbaikars have encountered problems while accessing health facilities. Recently MP Gopal Shetty appeals to the Maharashtra government along with the union to offer health insurance worth INR 5 lakhs to residents of Bombay who reside in an area of 300 square feet or less. Shetty’s comments came during the grand opening of the Apex Group of Hospitals’ sixth hospital in Akurli Road, Kandivali (East).
Apex Hospital Group opened a hospital in Chandavarkar Road, Borivali West 16 years ago and today the total number of hospitals in the group has increased to 6 in the next 10 years, another five hospitals will be opened soon. Inaugurating Akurli Road Hospital, Kandivali, Shetty said: “The opening of the hospital will benefit Jogeshwari, Malad as well as the people of Kandivali. I would like to appeal to Dr Vrajesh Shah to create Affordable facilities for poor patients in Kandivali Hospital and also to implement central government and Maharashtra government health programs here so that patients have access to treatment here.”
Speaking at the inauguration, Apex Hospital Group Director Dr Vrajesh Shah said: “At this facility, ICU patient information will be on the doctor’s mobile so that the doctors are updated 24 hours a day. The hospital has a capacity of 50 beds. The hospital, with its experienced doctors and nurses, will be open to patients 24 hours a day, with a catheterization laboratory and two blocks operating rooms, a ten-bed intensive care unit, a dialysis center, otolaryngology department, state-of-the-art ophthalmology, state-of-the-art laboratory, laparoscopy department and outpatient department. The obstetrics and gynecology department also has a system in place. The hospital will examine patients for ENT, urology, neurology, dermatology and other conditions.”
