Maxicare and Allianz PNB Life Partner to Create Easy-to-Connect, Easy-to-Serve Hospicash – Manila Bulletin
Allianz PNB Life, which recently strengthened its digital presence to better serve during the pandemic, and Maxicare Healthcare Corporation have collaborated to supplement the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans with insurance coverage. MaxicareHospicash, the first of its kind in the Philippine HMO market, is a daily hospital cash benefit that will soon be available through Maxicare in partnership with Allianz PNB Life.
While an HMO covers usual medical expenses, Hospicash improves coverage by providing cash benefits to cover other expenses in the event of hospitalization. These can include additional expenses for medications, transportation, visits, and loss of income during hospitalization.
Allianz PNB Life also continues to bridge the gap between them and quality health insurance. Its newly automated lead management process on Facebook can meet customer needs in real time or within 48 hours.
He recently launched “No Filter”, a digital film which is an ironic and conscious vision of the harmful impact of humanity on the environment. “As humans existing in a digital world, we use filters to be able to modify our photos as we wish. Facebook and Instagram alone report over 600 million filter users worldwide. But where filters fail, reality sets in quickly.
And now this collaboration.
“Everyone knows that getting sick isn’t just about paying the hospital bill; there are other expenses that arise as well, especially with work and family, ”said Christian Argos, President and CEO of Maxicare. “Maxicare and Allianz PNB Life understand this concern, hence the partnership between our organizations to offer MaxicareHospicash. “
“No one wants to be hospitalized and this set of products helps alleviate the hassle and burden associated with it. While your typical HMO benefits may cover the hospital bill, additional expenses are often incurred, ”said Alexander Grenz, President and CEO of Allianz PNB Life. “Through our partnership with Maxicare, we can provide a more complete solution for hospitalization.”
Additionally, MaxicareHospicash acts as an extra layer of benefits or money when the Maximum Benefit Limit (MBL) for the HMO plan is exhausted.
For example, a Maxicare member with Hospicash coverage receives a set amount or daily cash allowance from P250 to P5,000 per day while in hospital. The total can be claimed in cash after discharge from the hospital.
MaxicareHospicash can be combined with Maxicare’s business and SME plans. Maxicare members can now have Hospicash as part of their HMO. “MaxicareHospicash further sets the Maxicare HMO experience apart,” added Christian Argos.
“By partnering with a trusted HMO provider like Maxicare, we can offer Filipinos more security at a time when health-related expenses and COVID-19 cases are on the rise,” said Alexander Grenz, president and CEO of Allianz PNB Life.
Particularly notable is the strategic partnership between the leading HMO provider in the Philippines and no. 1 insurance brand in the world. Maxicare won gold for best PH health insurance at the 2021 Quality Service Awards Asia, while Allianz PNB Life remains the country’s fastest growing and innovative insurance company in terms of premium income.
